FEM analysis car chassis

An analysis using Dassult Abaqus to understand the impact the riveted aluminium plates has on the torsional rigidity of the chassis.

To obtain a comparative result, the torsional rigidity of the tube structure was measured first, constructed as a beam model. Then the aluminium plates where added modelled as shell components.
